2018 Smart China Expo (hereinafter referred to as SCE 2018) will be held on August 23-25, 2018 in Chongqing International Expo Center. SCE 2018 will be jointly organized by the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, the Ministry of Science and Technology, PRC, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, PRC, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Academy of Engineering, and China Association for Science and Technology. Under the theme of “Smart Technology: Empowering Economy, Enriching Life”, it will be held as “ a professional event with the highest national standards and international audience” featuring various events such as conferences, exhibitions and contests. For smart industry organizations, enterprises, experts and scholars around the world, it will be a professional event and a great platform to present cutting-edge technologies, smart life experience, roadshows and contests as well as interactions and discussions in smart industries.
First, an opening ceremony and Big Data and Smart Technology Summit will be held. In the context of Internet, big data and smart technology, government leaders, experts and scholars from home and abroad, representatives from pillar enterprises and professional institutes will make keynote speeches or remarks to reach new consensus and achieve new outcomes. Experience and major deliverables for SCE 2018 will be summarized and invitation to the next SCE will be extended in the Closing Ceremony.
Second, to showcase new products, technologies, business types and models, five Exhibition Zones will be set up to present the following aspects of big data and smart technology, namely, the general trend and policy directions, well-known companies, cutting-edge innovation, technology application and Smart Experience Plaza, while the last Zone will materialize future smart community by simulating application scenarios such as schools, homes, shopping and health-care.
Third, following the principle of “high technology content, extensive participation and sound exhibition effect ”, a number of contests will be held in cooperation with well-known domestic and international companies and institutions such as Self-driving Challenge, Drone Race Performance, Global “Internet+” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest, Chongqing Open Data Innovation Contest and the Top 10“Black Technology”List.
Fourth, SCE 2018 also features a great number of conferences and activities. The Mayors’ Roundtable for International Sister Cities of Chongqing and the Global Digital Economy Summit will be held. Eight high-level seminars will be conducted covering hot topics of semiconductor industry, artificial intelligence(AI), smart manufacturing, 5G and the Future Internet, industrial internet, smart super-computing, smart technology application and high-quality life as well as information security. Eight specialized conferences will be officiated including the Alibaba 2018 Yunqi Computing Conference Chongqing Summit, DingTalk Summit, Tencent Cloud + Future Forum(Chongqing), iFLYTEK Smart City Innovative Applications Forum, Huawei Cloud Forum, Qualcomm Smart Car Forum, Block Chain Innovation and Development Forum and Fin-tech Forum. Besides, we will also see special activities featuring smart technology application, the release of the Development Index for Big Data and Smart Technology and Chongqing’s policies for the development of integrated circuit (IC) and the industrial internet on the sideline of the signing ceremony for key projects.
